It's all here for our amazement: meticulously constructed, leather-bound volumes or spontaneous, free-form, lopsided tomes. I had never realized that in this day of alternative media we have such a bookbinding renaissance! The one thing that is missing -- a super large format and even bigger pictures that would allow examination of every bookbinding detail. Next time!

I found this book to be inspirational in seeing the possibilities of crafting handmade books. The illustrations are great. The book contains no directions or "how to do it", but for the book lover, it contains outstanding examples of works by book artists.
